Trade Show & Event Management: Make the Booth Pay for Itself

I design it, build it, staff it, sell from it and follow up after it.

The problem

What this usually looks like

A trade show costs tens of thousands of dollars in space, booth, travel and staff time. Most exhibitors get a stack of scanned badges, no follow-up plan, and no idea whether the show produced revenue. The booth looked fine. The pipeline did not move.

How I approach it

Treat the show as a sales campaign with a physical component, not a marketing expense. Book meetings before the doors open, build a booth designed to start conversations, staff it with people trained to qualify rather than hand out brochures, and follow up within 48 hours while you are still memorable.

Scope

What I actually do

Design and construct the exhibit, custom booth architecture, displays, fabrication, install and teardown.

Pre-show outreach and appointment setting so the calendar is full before you arrive.

Train booth staff on approach, qualification and disqualification. Most booth time is wasted on non-buyers.

Sell and demonstrate on the floor, in English, on your behalf.

Capture structured, useful lead notes instead of unqualified badge scans.

Run the 48-hour follow-up sequence and hand over a written post-show debrief with ROI.

Manage logistics: freight, drayage, storage and re-kitting between shows.

Questions

Straight answers

Can you attend the show on our behalf?

Yes. This is a core service for foreign and out-of-province exhibitors, I staff and sell from your booth as your representative, then send a full written debrief.

Do you build the booth or just manage it?

Both. Booth architecture and event construction is hands-on work I have done for years, design, fabrication, install, teardown and storage between shows.
